About Einwechter Electric

Einwechter Electric is a family business. Jason and Wendy Einwechter started it and still run it, and for more than a decade we have been wiring houses, businesses, plants and public buildings across Waterloo Region from our shop on Steckle Place in Kitchener.

We are a licensed electrical contractor, which in Ontario means the Electrical Safety Authority licenses our business, we file the notification for every job that needs one, and our work is held to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. If you want to know what that involves, our guide to ESA permits and inspections explains it.

What we believe in

Our mission is simple: do the electrical work properly, the first time, and leave people glad they called us. In practice that comes down to a short list we hold every crew to:

• Quality workmanship. Neat, code-compliant work that the next electrician will be happy to open up.
• Quality products. Proper materials and equipment, not whatever is cheapest that week.
• On time. We show up when we say we will and keep the job moving.
• Safety first. For our crew, for you, and for whoever lives or works in the building after us.
• Tidy. We protect floors and finishes and clean up before we leave.
• Clear communication. From the quote to the cleanup, you know what we are doing, why, and what it costs.

Training the next generation

We train apprentices, and we are proud to. Every trade depends on experienced people passing on what they know, and we see mentoring as an investment in the future of our field. Apprentices on our crews learn the work the way we want it done: carefully, safely and tidily.

Four kinds of work

• Residential:** single-family homes, condos, townhouses and apartment complexes. New homes, renovations, updating old wiring, panel upgrades, EV chargers, pot lights, hot tub wiring, generators and smart home systems.
• Commercial:** retail and shopping centres, offices, warehouses, hotels, restaurants and schools. New construction, renovations, commercial lighting, LED retrofits, bucket truck work, EV charging stations and maintenance programs.
• Industrial:** manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, food processing, automotive, pharmaceutical, and aerospace and defence. Machine and equipment relocation, control panel wiring, custom panel building, engraved labels and tags, and safety signage.
• Institutional:** schools and colleges, healthcare, government buildings, community centres, libraries and places of worship. Interior and exterior LED upgrades, parking-lot lights, school portable hook-ups, renovations and building maintenance.
